Books in QuickBooks Online — after the RO closes

Elite shops keep the floor in ShopRally and move closed tickets into QuickBooks Online by CSV export — without turning QBO into a second job board.

On Elite (Ultra inherits). Pro tracks payments in ShopRally; it does not include QuickBooks.

Insights

Your accountant should not retype the week

Independent shops already live in QuickBooks Online for the books. The pain is not “we need another accounting brand.” The pain is retyping closed tickets, payments, and customers into QBO because the shop system and the books never quite meet.

ShopRally’s answer is deliberately narrow. The floor — estimates, job board, payments tracking, customers — stays in ShopRally. When the RO is closed, Elite shops get a CSV export path into QuickBooks Online so the accountant is not rebuilding the week by hand. Ultra inherits that Elite path. Pro does not include QuickBooks.

That is not a second shop OS. If a landing starts selling QBO as the place you run bays, we have failed the packaging. Sync-shaped marketing without a live sync is also a fail — so this page says CSV / stub export until Feature Truth upgrades the product state.

Who this page is for: the owner who already pays for QuickBooks Online and refuses to buy a shop platform that pretends the floor lives in the ledger. Who it is not for: anyone hunting a full accounting suite, Desktop QuickBooks, or a story that Pro includes QBO. Founding Elite is the unlock; Ultra inherits the same CSV path without a separate Ultra books SKU.

The export is only useful if the ticket was honest in ShopRally first — paid-to-date and balance due recorded on the RO, lines closed, customer tied to the same record the bay used. That is why Payments and QuickBooks are sister pages, not duplicates. One is the counter. One is the books handoff after close.

Founding Elite is $239 month-to-month; Ultra is $319 and inherits the same CSV path without a separate Ultra books SKU. Pro is $119 and keeps payment tracking in ShopRally without pretending QuickBooks is included. No lock-in. When native sync ships, this landing upgrades after Feature Truth signs it — not before.

After close

Close in ShopRally. Export to QBO.

Not three generic verbs. An after-close path.

  1. 1

    Work the RO in ShopRally

Estimates, recorded payments, and customers stay on the shop system.

  2. 2

    Close the ticket

Invoices and payments recorded on the RO are ready for the books path.

  3. 3

Export CSV for QuickBooks Online (Elite)

Stub / CSV export — not live native bidirectional sync.

Export / CSV — not a sync toggle

  4. 4

Keep one customer record in ShopRally

The CRM and job board stay here. QBO does not become your second floor system.

1. Work the RO in ShopRally. Estimates, recorded payments, and customers stay on the shop system. The bay and the counter are not bouncing into QuickBooks to move a car.

2. Close the ticket. Invoices and payments recorded on the RO are ready for the books path. Payment tracking on Pro still matters here — the export is only as clean as the ticket you closed.

3. Export CSV for QuickBooks Online (Elite). Locked today: stub / CSV export — not live native bidirectional sync. You export; your accountant imports into QuickBooks Online. We will not show a fake always-on ledger or a glossy “sync” mock that implies continuous push-pull we do not ship.

4. Keep one customer record in ShopRally. The CRM and job board stay here. The CSV path is for the books. QBO does not become your second floor system.

Honesty

We will not sell a sync we don’t ship

Same honesty standard as Advanced reporting’s Soon page. Elite QBO today is a stub / CSV export. When native sync ships, this section upgrades after Feature Truth signs it. Until then:

  • Hero and body use export / CSV verbs.
  • Right-rail visual says Export / CSV path today.
  • No “always syncing,” no fake conflict-resolution UI, no Desktop QuickBooks, no Xero, no full payroll/GL suite pitch.

Owners comparing us to platforms that advertise deep accounting sync deserve the truth on the first screen — not a footnote after they buy Elite. If your accountant asks “does it sync every night?” the honest answer today is: you export CSV from ShopRally and import into QuickBooks Online. When that answer changes, this landing changes with Truth’s signature — not before. Until then, hero and body use export / CSV verbs. The right-rail visual says Export / CSV path today. We will not mock an always-on ledger, a conflict-resolution UI, Desktop QuickBooks, Xero, or a full payroll / GL suite.

Scope

What this is / isn’t

What you get on Elite (Ultra inherits)

  • After-close CSV export path aimed at QuickBooks Online.
  • Floor and CRM remain in ShopRally.
  • Packaging that does not pretend Pro includes QBO.

What this is not

  • Not on Pro. Pro tracks payments in ShopRally; it does not include QuickBooks.
  • Not live native sync today.
  • Not a second shop OS, job board, or bay tool inside QBO.
  • Not QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Not Xero, full GL replacement, or payroll marketing.
  • Not a substitute for /features/payments — counter tracking and Elite Stripe/text-to-pay live there.

Questions about this feature

Is QuickBooks on Pro?
No. Pro tracks payments in ShopRally. The QuickBooks Online CSV path is Elite (Ultra inherits).
Is it live sync or CSV?
CSV / stub export today. We do not sell native bidirectional sync until Feature Truth upgrades this page.
Does this replace ShopRally?
No. Floor, board, and CRM stay here. QBO is for the books after the RO closes.
Is it QuickBooks Desktop?
No. This path is for QuickBooks Online via CSV export. Desktop QB stays out of our marketing.
Do I need Stripe to use the QBO path?
No. Stripe Connect and text-to-pay are separate Elite payment rails on the payments page. CSV export is about closed tickets and recorded money — not card capture.
Pricing?
Elite $239 / Ultra $319 include the Elite QBO CSV path (Ultra inherits). Pro is $119 without QuickBooks. Month-to-month, no lock-in.
Will this become native sync later?
When it ships, we will say so here after packaging Truth signs it. Until then: export / CSV only.
